I read PerezHilton.com everyday because I have this huge maternal, even borderline possessive parent attitude, when it comes to keeping up with celebrity gossip and news. Ask me about what's happening in Iraq and I'll draw a blank. Ask me about what Ashley Olsen thinks about her sister and I'll tell you in a heartbeat. This isn't to say that's the only site I follow. Now, Perez Hilton has a FASHION/CELEBRITY blog too!! Amazeballs. Two sites dedicated to what I love. Before you start forming mean opinions of me...
-my homepage is the New York Times
-I try to read the actual San Diego Union Tribune paper almost daily

My Life in Yellow...

I have this crazy and maybe foolish dream of one day writing a book about my life. Yeah, some of you may consider me horribly stupid for thinking I'm that important.. but I really do have things that I want to share with people. I've always grown up thinking that I was alone in a lot of the things I experienced and felt... and in some ways I still feel that way now. Post Secrets and stories from my friends have shown me that, of course, I am not alone. My blog has been a mini record of the many excerpts I'd like to put in my story one day.
So, I'm adding a new feature to my blogs: My Life in Yellow. I'll probably come up with a better title later on, this is what I could come up with after a minute of creative attempt. My features don't usually have creative titles i.e. Things That I Really Like.. and Relationships, etc.

Everyone has insecurities which range from the small and insignificant to the large and detrimental. It's really easy to be confident when you don't have much to lose. It's when you start investing and exposing yourself to the cruel nature of others that the insecurities build and snowball.
I, like everyone else, am insecure about my looks. I try to hide it but every now and then I'll crack. It's a horrible feeling when you realize you'll never be good enough to be number one. Say someone tells you "you're all I'll ever need" and then you come to discover that although you're all they'll ever need... you are not the standard. This may sound confusing but it makes sense. To put it in another way, you weren't their number one pick of the list. Obviously there's no way anyone can control that and it's unfair to be upset at them if that's just the plain truth.
But I am human. I can't help but be saddened by the realization. I wish I could get over it and not be so silly, but instead I just keep second guessing myself and feeding my insecurities. It seems like everyone closest to my heart wishes I didn't look the way I do.

Up-Setting. It was a good movie in the sense that it had a message. But by no means should it have ever been compared to "Wall-E" or any other awesome Disney movie cuz, well, it fuckin wasn't!! I knew people had cried, but I didn't know it was so damn depressing. It's supposed to be a children's movie, so why would you *SPOILER ALERT* show a couple not being able to have a child?! If I was a kid watching it, I totally wouldn't get why they were sad at the doctor's office. WTF DISNEY?! and WTF to everyone who thought it was good movie.Harry Potter & The Movie with No Epic Battle at The End. Uh did I miss something? Did I not read the same book that everyone else read? There was supposed to be a fight at the end between Harry and pretty much every Death Eater when Dumbledore died. As Peter would say, "Wtf. They Jewed me on the epic battle." Other than that faux pas, the movie's graphics were wonderful and the cast were adorable.
Looking forward to G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra... or as I like to think of it, "G.I. Joe: Two Hours of Channing Tatum".... glorious!!!

I wish I could post a picture with this entry but I've been unbelievably lazy when it comes to uploading photos (this shouldn't come as a surprise since I do have a tendency to upload Xmas pics in the middle of May). I want to blog about my latest adventures before old age steals them from my precious treasure box of memories. Bow chicka wow ow!
July 4: America.. FUCK YEAH.
Decided to rough it in good ol' Yuma, Arizona for the weekend with Shane, Stella & Brian. Thursday night we stayed at the Sycuan Resort and buffeted it the Sycuan casino. Then, camped a night in Yuma, saw Lake Martinez and the Colorado River. Got completely shitfaced in 110 degree weather, Stella and I both lost our $7 Wal-Mart sunglasses, filled up the jukebox with $5 worth of quarters to play "Benny & The Jets", and "Don't Stop Believing" at least 3 times each, and then woke up thinking .... ok, I'm over camping. Good times!
July 12: Rockstar MAYHEM FEST!
Yeah, long story short: It was awesome. Super hot. KSE & Bullet killed it. Never go to the San Bernardino Glen Helen Pavillion/San Manuel Amphitheatre unless you have to.
July 27: Caged Animals
Shane had gotten the day off which rarely ever happens especially since I've never been able to have two "weekend" days with Shane. (Seeing as how my weekend days are Sunday and Monday). He had never been to the SD Zoo and I love the thought of squishing cute animals, so of course we had to go. I was admittedly a little sad I couldn't ride the Skyfari, but it was a great trip to the zuu. ..... get it? Buu..? Zuu? Zoo? No? Not so much? Fine.
July 31: Industry Par-tay
Esther threw an awesome glitzy Hollywood industry party for the grand opening of West Side Stages. Free booze and food, celebrity sightings, red carpet entrance, VIP area, up and coming performances, star DJ (Macy Gray)... yeah the whole nine yards. I couldn't be any prouder of her. Yeah, I got shitfaced with Stella while we stumbled around in 5 inch heels repeatedly asking "Where's Esther?!?" Other than that hot mess.. the weekend was fun since it was Shane's first time visiting LA. On Saturday, we ventured to the Valley to meetup with my sister, lunch at Topanga Mall. At night, it was dinner at Natalee Thai restaurant (HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE DINING EXPERIENCE) and then drinks at Busby's.
There are probably more things that happened in between (yup, there are.. I just remembered them), but I'm not going to write about them cuz no one really cares that much. Summer is half gone.... WOMP WOMP.
